# Bybit

Bybit is a centralized cryptocurrency exchange. You create an account, verify your identity, deposit funds (crypto or fiat), and trade on their platform.

Multi-chain support, including: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ERC-20), BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20), TRON (TRC-20), Solana (SOL), Arbitrum, One, Optimism, Base, Avalanche C-Chain, Polygon, TON, XRP Ledger (XRP), Cardano. [Visit the bybit website for the full list](https://www.bybit.com).

## What it's good for

- **Wide asset selection** — Hundreds of spot and perpetual pairs.
- **Fiat on-ramp** — Buy crypto with a bank card or wire transfer.
- **User-friendly** — Clean interface, reliable customer support, established track record since 2018.

## How it works

1. Create a Bybit account and complete identity verification (KYC).
2. Deposit funds via bank transfer, card, or crypto transfer.
3. Your agent places orders on Bybit's orderbook through the exchange API.

## Fees

- Spot trading: typically 0.1% per trade (maker/taker may vary).
- Futures trading: maker fees are often lower than taker fees — check [Bybit's fee page](https://www.bybit.com) for current rates.
- Deposit/crypto transfers may incur network fees. Withdrawal fees depend on the asset and network.

## Best use case

Pick Bybit if you want to deposit fiat currency, trade a wide range of assets, or prefer the reliability of an established exchange with dedicated customer support.

## Limitations

- **KYC required** — You must provide personal identification documents.
- **Not anonymous** — Your identity is tied to your account.
- **Centralized risk** — Funds are held by Bybit. If the exchange were compromised, you could lose assets (use only amounts you trust a centralized platform to hold).
